Diane, I'm not your SP, but wanted to ask how your knee is healing? I haven't seen you here too often and just wondered how the healing process is going. It sounds like you had a great time here in San Diego. Which of Lisa B's restaurants did you go to? I haven't been there yet, but heard they are GREAT!!! Hey thanks, the knee is doing well. It's just not strong enough as yet, so I am working on it alone. Rode the bike for the first time today and boy my knee sure does know I did something different. I am slowly getting there. I know it's a long recoup period, I just get tired of the pain at times. We did have a really good time in SD, we never made it to Lisa B's place. There are so many. After I had printed out all the menus, my sister in laws decided it was pizza they wanted. So while they were out, they bought me chicken and everyone had pizza. I hate eating in when I am gone somewhere. You are very welcome for your b-day wi****'s your day, sorry I was so slow in getting there. Hugs, Diane

I'm glad it is getting there little by little. I may be there myself someday. I have very bad OA in both knees! Postop it got worse, then better, and now worse again. I hope I won't need surgery, but we'll see. Is bicycling good for bad knees? I was thinking about looking for a recumbant bike. I am having hernia repair surgery probably in May, and because I have had surgery for this twice already, you can guarantee I won't be doing any exercise that jeopardizes my abdomin, so I was thinking the bike would be good. What do you think?

You know for strengthing the muscles of the leg, because I can't ride any bike without my back being a poop, they have placed me on an olipitical (sp) BUT, I no longer have therapy so I walk a little and today I just said the heck with it, and got on my regular stantionary bike. As long as you don't do anything that puts strain on your abs. But basically I am just not an exercise person, I am trying, but it gets to be a real pain for me.

OMGosh, the ellipticals hurt my knees like hell!!! OUCH!!!! I have a bad back too, that is why I like the recumbant bikes. I'm not an exercise person either. I was doing water aerobics till my strokes and now that is no good and everything else, even walking kills my knees!!! I hear ya honey!!! hugs, Becky
